Altering is like documenting the work process. In other words this is comparison between raw and final images. Similarly this shows the amount of manipulations over an image. In addition this activity also helps in beautifying the image. Altering shows my retouching ability.
After any photoshoot I select the potential images for the client. Client after some discussion and alterations finalises the images. In addition they also specify their requirements. After that the retouching process begins.
I do my own retouching and follow the needs of my client. Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom are my basic tool for execution. However I use other tools very rarely. For my convenience I use an intuos wacom for flexibility.
Here firstly I try to find out imperfections on the skin and body. Therefore mark them for further memory. However once marking them all I start removing the imperfections from skin. After that I correct the body parts if asked by clients. Then I send the images to the client for approval. In other words once they approve I am ready to go for the lighting stage.
Because the client has approved the skin retouch I am almost nearing the end. In other words the last phase of work starts from here. I start softening the lights cast in the image by increasing the fall off of lights. Similarly I also change the light colors and temperatures. Above all colors and shading gives the images an edgy and beauty look. I have been trying to get this look.
In conclusion I am satisfied once my client approves the images. After that I have nothing to worry about. Similarly client also gets relaxed once image are finalised.
